Even before I started working at Anthropologie, I’d heard all about the mega-popular Gleaming Primrose Mirror, which the brand touts as its “bestselling style of all time,” from Instagram and TikTok. Odds are, the oversized, vintage-inspired mirror has crossed your social media feed, too — influencers and celebrities like Shay Mitchell and Joanna Gaines love it. It’s apparent that the mirror instantly glams up a room with its elegant, old-timey vibe.
Every shift, I would be stationed near the mirror, and I noticed that it never failed to attract admirers from where it was propped up against the wall. Customers would take selfies in the 7-foot one all day long, and even more would stoop down to check out the price tag. However, the $1,598 cost turned more than a few people away — even the version that’s half that size is $548. But no matter how close they get, they never feel quite the same, IMO.
I’m always on the lookout for more additions to the Primrose collection that aren’t quite so bank-breaking. They’ve released a circular option, a vanity tray, and more, but my favorite has to be the Gleaming Primrose Vanity Mirror, which is on sale for a little over $100 during Anthro’s huge Labor Day sale. If this all isn’t enough to sway you, let me tell you why this is the one deal you should take advantage of before the sale wraps up on Sept. 4.
What is the Gleaming Primrose Vanity Mirror?
The Primrose style is so beloved because it looks like an expensive antique with the ornate detailing along its outer edges — so it’ll either fit right in with the vintage decor you already own or give a vintage flair to your more modern room. Either way, it blends well with any style. “Blend,” though, may be an inaccurate term, because you can be sure that it won’t disappear into the wall, or wherever else you decide to place it — it’s a gorgeous statement piece, after all.
That’s why the black-colored vanity version is such a score, though. Maybe you don’t have room for the full-size version, or maybe the full-size would be just a little too intense for your space. It’s a bit more neutral in the darker hue, but the intricate detailing still stands out. It’ll make you feel totally luxe when you’re doing your makeup routine — or when you’re just checking out your reflection throughout the day.
What Anthropologie Reviewers Are Saying
Take it from an Anthro expert, this is one of the best deals they have going on for Labor Day. Don’t let a smaller space stop you from grabbing the Primrose mirror if you’ve been eyeing it for just as long as I have — the vanity version is the perfect solution!
