For one of the brand’s first major collaborations of 2024, Anthropologie has tapped beloved and social media-famous recipe developer Betül Tunc, the content creator behind Turkuaz Kitchen, for an exclusive collaboration of kitchen and dining offerings. Known for her hearty dishes and beautiful self-shot photography, Tunc’s artful aesthetic translated nicely into the 25-piece collection, which draws its inspiration from vintage pieces and traditional Turkish pottery.
“In envisioning this collection, I wanted to create pieces that were authentic to the aesthetic people have come to associate with me and infuse some elements of my Turkish heritage for a touch of elegance,” Tunc said of the collection in a press release. “My hope is they can be enjoyed seamlessly by anyone who loves cooking, baking, and creating as much as I do.”
Crafted in a soothing palette of ivory, amber, and powder blue, the assortment features dishware, bakeware, cooking and baking tools, and linens — all things good-looking enough to leave out on your countertops and dining table, but also functional (think: measuring cups, a spatula, and a rolling pin alongside ceramic baking dishes in various sizes).
Entertaining items are part of the mix, too, from a table runner and napkins to glassware and dishes. My favorite piece from the collection? The Turkuaz Kitchen Posy Cake Stand, a pedestal-style cake stand with a cameo-like relief floral pattern that coordinates back to a serving platter and serving bowl. You’ll also find two sizes of honey and pistachio-scented candles and a cute apron rounding out the collab.
If you’re familiar with Turkish Iznik patterns, you’ll be able to see that old-world influence in the range, which marries almost hand-painted-tile-like-looking flowers with trendy scalloped edges and white zinnia detailing cast in relief. Any of these pieces would be perfect to pretty up your at-home 2024 cooking, baking, or eating experiences, and they’d make great gifts, too.
